Brazil’s federal government is preparing new restrictions on sports betting advertising as part of a broader effort to reduce consumer debt and limit public exposure to gambling-related content.
The announcement was made Monday by Finance Ministry executive secretary Dário Durigan during the presentation of the government’s new “Desenrola Adimplentes” program at the Palácio do Planalto. The new measures aim to curb the promotion of sports betting across various media channels in Brazil, aligning with the government's strategy to address financial challenges and social concerns related to gambling.
