A veteran White House staffer has been suspended after he was accused of using advance notice of comments from the president to make lucrative bets on a prediction market.
Gabriel Perez, who has been President Donald Trump’s teleprompter operator for years, is said to have been involved in making approximately $100,000 from bets placed on Trump's speeches. Perez allegedly used his insider knowledge of the president's comments to profit from prediction markets, leading to his suspension.
