Wealthsimple will launch a prediction markets app in partnership with Kalshi Inc. this summer after securing approval from the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization.
The Toronto-based firm, Wealthsimple, has received approval from the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization to launch a prediction markets app in collaboration with Kalshi Inc. Wealthsimple will be the second investment dealer in Canada authorized to offer these contracts. The approval was granted in March, following Interactive Brokers Group Inc.'s announcement of a similar launch in the Canadian market.
