Virginia sports bettors wagered more than $581.3 million in May, down 2.3% year-on-year.
According to the Virginia Lottery's latest report, the total sports betting handle in May was $581,335,802, with the majority of wagers placed through mobile sportsbooks. This figure marked a 2.3% decrease compared to the previous year and a decline from April's total of $613.9 million.
Throughout the month, $574,584,903 was wagered online, while $6,750,899 was bet at retail sportsbooks in Virginia.
