Major U.S. gambling industry groups have called on Congress to prohibit prediction market platforms from offering sports-related event contracts.
These groups, including the American Gaming Association and the Indian Gaming Association, argue that such contracts resemble unregulated sports betting, posing a threat to the country's regulated gaming framework. The call for a ban was made in a letter addressed to the Senate, emphasizing the need to address these products that could undermine the integrity of sports betting regulations.
