Station Casinos Faces Class Action Lawsuit After Cyberattack

A Nevada, US woman has filed a proposed class action lawsuit against Station Casinos and its parent company following the casino operator’s recent disclosure that it was the victim of a cybersecurity attack earlier this year.

A Nevada, US woman has filed a proposed class action lawsuit against Station Casinos and its parent company following the casino operator’s recent disclosure that it was the victim of a cybersecurity attack earlier this year.

The lawsuit was filed Thursday in the US District Court in Nevada by Clark County resident Jill B. who alleges that Station Casinos failed to protect customers’ personal and financial information adequately. The complaint accuses the casino operator of negligence and seeks damages for affected individuals.

Station Casinos revealed in April that it had experienced a cyber incident affecting its network and disrupting its operations. The company notified customers of the potential data breach and offered complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services.
