Prior to the violent incident, the man reportedly sought advice from an AI application, as disclosed by South Korean newspaper Kookmin Ilbo. Prosecutors revealed that the individual utilized the AI prompts to plan the attack and conceal his gambling debts.

The court heard that the man utilized the AI app to determine how to carry out the crime. The case shed light on the man's gambling addiction, which ultimately led to the violent act against his mother. The sentencing reflects the severity of the crime and the consequences of the man's gambling problem.
