The Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service revealed that South Korean gambling addiction rates have surged to unprecedented levels, as per its latest 10-year study on addiction trends in the country. In contrast, the number of individuals struggling with alcoholism has significantly decreased over the same period.
The findings highlight a concerning shift in addictive behaviors in South Korea, with a notable increase in gambling addiction cases alongside a positive trend of declining alcoholism rates.
