Singapore will step up enforcement against illegal gambling during the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Singapore will step up enforcement against illegal gambling during the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Singapore is set to increase its efforts to combat illegal gambling activities during the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19. The Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Social and Family Development jointly announced the initiative on June 9. Singapore Pools remains the sole licensed operator in the country for lotteries, sports betting, and remote gambling, with all other operators, whether online or offline, being deemed illegal. Law enforcement authorities are expected to intensify their crackdown on unauthorized gambling operations to maintain the integrity of the event and uphold regulatory standards.
