Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved regulations that will force gambling-related firms to block anyone whose name appears on a central self-exclusion registry from placing bets.
The State Duma recently passed a bill requiring gambling firms to implement measures to prevent individuals listed on the self-exclusion registry from participating in betting activities. The new regulations also introduce fines for non-compliant operators. Additionally, the Federation Council, Russia’s upper house, has given its approval to the legislation.
