Nevada added 3,800 jobs in June, reaching a record high in nonfarm employment as Las Vegas hiring compensated for decreases in other areas.
Despite the positive job growth, Nevada still faces one of the highest unemployment rates in the United States. The state saw a seasonally adjusted increase in nonfarm employment to a record 1,614,100 in June, marking a 2.3% rise from the previous year. This growth was primarily driven by the Las Vegas metropolitan area.
