The Dutch Lottery has stated that the Netherlands’ increased gambling taxes have crippled the sector, diminishing the money the lottery raises for good causes.
The Dutch Lottery expressed concerns over the impact of higher gambling taxes in the country, highlighting how it has negatively affected the funds raised for charitable purposes. Arjan Blok, the lottery’s CEO, emphasized that the escalating taxes have eroded the industry's competitiveness, potentially driving consumers towards the unregulated black market.
