Colorado lawmakers have approved legislation that would introduce new restrictions on online sports betting, including limits on daily deposits and a ban on promotional push notifications sent through gambling apps.
Colorado lawmakers have passed Senate Bill 131, which is now awaiting approval from Gov. Jared Polis. If signed into law, this bill could establish Colorado as the first state in the US to restrict the number of daily deposits a bettor can make on a sportsbook app. The proposed restrictions also include a prohibition on promotional push notifications from gambling apps to users.
