Chinese police continue to hunt groups of gamblers who congregate in abandoned buildings, fields, and forests in an attempt to evade detection.
In their most recent operation, officers in the Honggu District of Lanzhou, in Gansu Province, apprehended 34 individuals, as announced by the Lanzhou Public Security Bureau. The group was discovered in a deserted building and is part of a larger crackdown on illegal gambling activities in the region.
The authorities are intensifying efforts to dismantle these illegal gambling operations that often use remote locations to avoid scrutiny, with a particular focus on abandoned structures that have become hotspots for such activities.
